Forgive to Advance

Facebook kindly reminded me of the share I made on this day in the year 2019, and I remain as excited about it today as I was then.
“By learning to forgive others and yourself, you’ll carry around less anger, and it will be easier to think proactively about the work you need to do.”
In my experience, this is an undeniable truth.
How about you? Has forgiveness made you less angry and more proactive anywhere in your life?
How about in your workplace?
Yep! That’s what I love about this quote. It’s a realization made by female executive, Jenn Steele, about what she believes is the number one skill working women need to develop to continue to move up the corporate ranks.
“Ultimately, freed from carrying the burden of anger around, you’ll find it easier to climb the ladder to the top.”
If it’s been a while since you’ve been conscious of the freedom and the power that is forgiveness in your family life, your social life, and even your work life, I encourage you to take a minute today to see where it has served to make you more at ease and proactive.
Now, take another minute to see where in your life it can serve you further still.
Then, commit to using a forgiving lens in that space, and practice forgiving one small situation at a time.
Let today be the day you begin to reframe and get proactive around a difficult situation.
Let me know if you need support.
Love,
Molly
